FIRM PROFILE

Established in 1998, the office of Andre Tchelistcheff Architects bases its practice on conceptual refinement, attention to craftsmanship and detail, and stylistic fluency. The work of the practice spans a wide range of commissions including new homes, townhouse renovations and additions, offices, showrooms, hotels, and institutional buildings. Working closely with our clients, we develop resonant and elegant design solutions best suited to the specific location as well as the historical, financial, and programmatic parameters of each project.

PRINCIPAL

Andre Tchelistcheff was born in San Francisco, California to Russian émigré parents and raised in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley in 1984, and a Master of Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1992. He is a Registered Architect in the States of New York and Illinois; member of the American Institute of Architects and the Institute of Classical Architecture; and is the Chairman of the Board of the Gelsey Kirkland Ballet and the Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet. He lives in New York City, spending time amongst his five children and to go out sailing as much possible.
