This 2,800 square foot office space in the Flatiron District is home to a multimedia design and production firm. Working in collaboration with designer Henry Ellis we developed a spare visual aesthetic, punctuated with textures of age and use. The worn wood floors were simply patched and painted black and the old steel windows and wood sills were stripped of their many coats of paint and waxed. White walls with clerestory windows allow natural light to enter the inner spaces and provide a calm background for selective splashes of colorful art and developing projects.
